1. Introduction
Welcome to Fire-Frame (the website at https://fire-frame.com, hereinafter "the Site", "we", "us", or "our"). Fire-Frame is a Web App platform offering a curated collection of in-browser mini-applications including PDF tools, JSON formatters, online games, and more.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you visit and use the Site, as well as your rights regarding your personal data. Please read this policy carefully before using the Site. By continuing to use the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We operate the Site under a "minimum collection" principle. The information we collect falls into the following categories:
2.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily
The Site's core functions (browsing apps, using utilities) do not require account registration or login. Should we introduce account registration, subscriptions, or contact forms in the future, we will clearly disclose what is collected on the relevant pages and obtain your separate consent.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you browse the Site, our servers and third-party analytics tools may automatically collect the following technical information:
- Device and browser information: browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, language preferences
- Browsing behavior: pages you visit, time spent, links you click, referring URL
- Location information: approximate geographic location inferred from IP address (country or region level, no precise positioning)
- Device identifiers: anonymous identifiers generated via Cookies or similar technologies to distinguish browsing sessions
2.3 Locally Stored Preferences
To provide basic functionality, the Site stores the following data in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data is not uploaded to our servers:
- Recently used apps: the list of apps shown in the "Recently Used" section. You can disable recording or clear existing history in the Preferences page
- Cookie consent settings: your choices for analytics and advertising Cookies
- Visual style and language preferences: your selected theme and locale
3. How We Use This Information
The information we collect is used for the following purposes:
- Operating and maintaining the Site: loading pages, displaying "Recently Used", remembering your preferences
- Improving user experience: using tools like Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (popular apps, bounce rate, time on page) to improve page design and app recommendations
- Displaying ads: using Google AdSense to display content-relevant ads. When you do not consent to advertising Cookies, ads may still display but in a non-personalized form (per Google Consent Mode v2)
- Security and abuse prevention: detecting unusual access patterns and preventing misuse or attacks
- Legal compliance: retaining and providing necessary information as required by law
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Site. These services collect data under their own privacy policies:
4.1 Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to analyze site traffic and usage patterns. GA4 collects anonymized usage statistics via Cookies and similar technologies (such as pages visited, time spent, approximate geographic location). By default GA4 is not loaded and does not track; it only loads and starts recording after you turn on "Analytics" in the Preferences page. You can turn it off and stop tracking on the same page at any time.
For details, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
4.2 Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display ads on designated slots to sustain the Site's operations. AdSense and its partners may use Cookies and similar technologies to deliver personalized ads. Per Google Consent Mode v2:
- When you consent to "advertising Cookies", ads will be personalized based on your interests
- When you do not consent to "advertising Cookies", ads will still display but only in a non-personalized form (based on page content and approximate geographic location, without relying on personal tracking)
You can manage account-level personalized ad preferences at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party advertising Cookies at DAA WebChoices.
4.3 Google Tag Manager (GTM)
The Site uses GTM to centrally manage tracking and advertising scripts. GTM itself is a tag management container and does not collect personal data; actual data collection is performed by the child tools it loads (GA4, AdSense), each governed by their own consent settings.
4.4 Content Delivery and Fonts
The Site uses Google Fonts to deliver web typography. When you browse, your browser will request fonts from Google's font servers. Google may obtain your IP address as part of this process.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses Cookies along with local storage technologies such as localStorage for functionality, analytics, and advertising. We organize them into three tiers; the latter two are off by default and are not loaded automatically:
- Necessary Cookies: required for basic site functionality (such as locale switching, page caching); cannot be disabled
- Analytics Cookies: GA4 collects anonymized usage statistics; you may opt in or out
- Advertising Cookies: used by AdSense for personalized ads; you may opt in or out. When opted out, ads still display but in non-personalized form
You may click the "Cookie Settings" link in the page footer anytime to enter the Preferences page and adjust the "Analytics" and "Advertising" toggles. A complete list of Cookies used is available in our Cookie Policy.
6. Data Retention and Storage Location
The Site is a fully static web application delivered through third-party cloud services (Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps, Google):
- Static site files: hosted on Azure Static Web Apps; downloaded to your browser at the time of viewing
- Data collected by Google services: retained per Google's individual service policies. Google Analytics 4 has a default retention period of 14 months
- Browser local data: stored on your device under your control (can be cleared via your browser)
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following situations:
- Third-party service providers: the Google services listed in Section 4 above, each handling data under their own privacy policies
- Legal requirements: when required by regulatory authorities by law, or when necessary to protect the Site and its users
- Business transfer: in the event of merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, relevant data may transfer along. We will notify you prominently in such case
8. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws (including EU GDPR, Taiwan Personal Data Protection Act, California CCPA, etc.), you may have the following rights:
- Right of access: to inquire whether we hold your personal data and what it contains
- Right to rectification: to request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Right to erasure: to request deletion of your personal data (within legally permitted scope)
- Right to restrict processing: to refuse or withdraw previous consent to data processing (such as withdrawing Cookie consent)
- Right to data portability: to obtain a structured, commonly used copy of your personal data
Because the Site itself does not actively collect personally identifiable information (no registration mechanism), most rights are practically exercised against third-party services like Google. You may exercise them directly via the corresponding service settings, or contact us via "Contact Us" below; we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not designed to specifically target children under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age set by local law) and does not actively collect children's personal data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data without your consent, please contact us via the channels below. We will promptly remove the relevant data.
10. International Data Transfers
Because the cloud and analytics services we use are provided by international vendors (Microsoft, Google), your browsing data may be transferred to regions outside of Taiwan (including the United States, the European Union, etc.) for processing and storage. These service providers have implemented safeguards compliant with international standards such as GDPR (Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, etc.).
11. Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time due to legal requirements, business adjustments, or service changes. For significant updates, we will post a notice on the Site's homepage or this page, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend you periodically revisit this page to stay informed. By continuing to use the Site after updates, you accept the updated version.
